How to sew Bamboo Towelling Fabric?

Here are 5 tips to get the best results from your next towelling project!

1. Use the right needle: Opt for a ballpoint or stretch needle as they are designed to penetrate knit fabrics without damaging them, reducing the likelihood of snags or runs.

2. Pre-wash and press: This fabric may shrink slightly after washing, so to prevent distortion or unevenness in your finished project, pre-wash and dry the fabric before cutting and sewing.

3. Secure seams: Since Bamboo Towelling tends to fray, finish your seams to prevent unraveling. You can use a serger, overlock stitch, zigzag stitch, or a simple straight stitch with pinking shears to seal the edges.

4. Choose the Right Thread: Use a polyester or cotton-wrapped polyester thread as these threads offer both strength and flexibility.

5. Use Sharp Scissors or Rotary Cutter: Bamboo Towelling can be thick and plush, so it's essential to use sharp scissors or a rotary cutter to ensure clean, precise cuts. Dull blades may result in jagged edges or uneven seams.
