Fabric Care Tips for Boucle Fabric!

Here are 5 tips to help maintain your Boucle Fabric wonderful texture and appearance!

1. Spot Cleaning: Use a clean, damp cloth or sponge to gently dab the stained area of the fabric with mild detergent/specialised fabric cleaner. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as this can damage the loops. 

2. Always Test First: Always test your cleaning solution on a hidden area of the fabric first to ensure it doesn't cause discolouration or damage.

3. Avoid Ironing: Ironing directly on bouclé fabric can squash or flatten the loops. If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and place a clean cloth between the iron and fabric to protect it.

4. Storage: Store boucle garments in a breathable garment bag or cover to protect them from dust and moisture. Avoid hanging heavy items on top of the fabric, as this can cause the loops to lose their shape.

5. Brushing: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove any surface dirt or lint from the fabric. Brush lightly in the direction of the loops to avoid damaging them.
