How to sew Fleece Fabric?
Here are 5 tips to get the best results from your next project!
1. Pre-wash: Fleece fabric can shrink, so it's best to pre-wash and dry it before starting your project. This will help prevent your finished project from shrinking later.
2. Choose the right stitch: Use a stretch, zigzag, or a narrow and slightly elongated straight stitch. These will allow the fabric to stretch without breaking the stitches.
3. Press with caution: Fleece fabric can melt under high heat, so if you need to press seams, use a low heat setting and a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
4. Use a longer stitch length for topstitching: If you're adding decorative topstitching, consider using a longer stitch length to prevent the fleece from bunching up.
5. Choose the right thread: Opt for a good quality polyester or all-purpose thread that matches the colour of your fleece. Polyester thread is strong and durable, ideal for fleece.
